Fees
How fees work
What sets a fee, and what you are told before you pay anything.
Insurance we work with
We are out of network with insurance plans, so you pay for each visit yourself. We do not bill Medicare, and we are not enrolled with SoonerCare, Oklahoma’s Medicaid program. If you would rather have a prescriber who bills your plan, we will give you the names of colleagues who do.
Out of network with insurance plans
No Medicare or SoonerCare billing
If you pay yourself
A fee is set by the length and kind of visit: a first evaluation, a follow-up or a longer follow-up. The hour you come in does not change it, so an evening or Saturday slot costs what a weekday one would. Your fee is given in writing before you start. A small number of reduced-fee visits are held each month; ask when you book. HSA and FSA cards work, and we ask for 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel a visit.
Receipts for reimbursement
After a visit you can ask for an itemized receipt (a superbill) with the date, the kind of visit and a diagnosis code, to send to your plan. Your insurer can see the code. Your plan decides whether it reimburses any of the cost, so ask it before you start.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost, before you start. We send yours after you book and before the first visit. If a bill comes to $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Checking your benefits
We do not check benefits, because we do not bill your plan. To learn whether your plan reimburses out-of-network care, call the number on your card before the first visit and ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.
Pharmacy and lab charges come from the pharmacy and the lab, not from the practice.
Questions about paying
Do you take my insurance?
No. We are out of network with insurance plans and do not bill Medicare or SoonerCare. You pay for each visit yourself and can have a receipt to send to your plan.
Does an evening or weekend visit cost more?
No. The fee follows the length and kind of visit, not the hour. It is given in writing before you start.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written estimate of your costs before you start. If a bill comes to $400 or more above it, you can dispute the bill. The estimate is not a contract.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. You pay by card at the end of each visit, and HSA and FSA cards work.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel a visit. Your estimate says what a late cancellation costs.
Want your written estimate?
Write to us and we send it before your first visit.
