Who it is for

People whose day does not end at five

The evening and Saturday slots were built for these schedules. Adults, 18 and older.

  • Hospital and clinic staff

Nurses, techs, aides and desk staff who work nights, weekends or twelve-hour days.

  • Airport, plant and warehouse crews

Shift and rotation workers whose days off do not match anyone else’s.

  • Drivers, dispatchers and delivery

People who are on the road at the hours an office is open.

  • Night owls and students

Anyone who is up late and wants a visit at an hour that suits the body clock.

If you need care today, call us in office hours or call or text 988. For talk therapy we will give you the names of colleagues. We are not an emergency service.

Prescribing policy

How we prescribe

Medication decisions start with an evaluation, never before one.

  • We do not prescribe at a first call, by message or before a first evaluation.
  • We do not prescribe controlled medicines, including stimulants, at the first visit.
  • Before any controlled medicine we check the Oklahoma prescription monitoring program, and we do not prescribe controlled medicines by video.
  • We change one thing at a time and tell you what to watch for.

The full policy is on its own page, including what we need from you and when we refer you elsewhere.

Cedric Dorsey

Psychiatric nurse practitioner

One clinician from the first evaluation to every follow-up, so you do not repeat your history to someone new.

Cedric worked nights on a hospital unit before he trained as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and he books the way he would have wanted to be booked: after the shift, not in the middle of it. He sees adults, in the office and by video. Each visit ends with one next step in writing.

How it works

From your first message to your first visit

Four steps, none of which needs a day off.

  • You write or call

Use the form or the phone. Meghan Fierro, who runs the front desk, replies the next business day with the open evening and Saturday slots.

  • You get the paperwork and an estimate

Intake forms and your written fee estimate come before the visit, on our own portal.

  • You come in, or sign on

A first evaluation takes 60 minutes. Come after work or straight from a shift.

  • You leave with a plan

One next step in writing, a way to ask a question between visits, and the date of your next visit.

How fees work

What sets a fee, and what you are told before you pay anything.

  • Insurance we work with

We are out of network with insurance plans, so you pay for each visit yourself. We do not bill Medicare, and we are not enrolled with SoonerCare, Oklahoma’s Medicaid program. If you would rather have a prescriber who bills your plan, we will give you the names of colleagues who do.

    • Out of network with insurance plans

    • No Medicare or SoonerCare billing

  • If you pay yourself

A fee is set by the length and kind of visit: a first evaluation, a follow-up or a longer follow-up. The hour you come in does not change it, so an evening or Saturday slot costs what a weekday one would. Your fee is given in writing before you start. A small number of reduced-fee visits are held each month; ask when you book. HSA and FSA cards work, and we ask for 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel a visit.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

After a visit you can ask for an itemized receipt (a superbill) with the date, the kind of visit and a diagnosis code, to send to your plan. Your insurer can see the code. Your plan decides whether it reimburses any of the cost, so ask it before you start.

  • An estimate in advance

If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost, before you start. We send yours after you book and before the first visit. If a bill comes to $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.

  • Checking your benefits

We do not check benefits, because we do not bill your plan. To learn whether your plan reimburses out-of-network care, call the number on your card before the first visit and ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.

Pharmacy and lab charges come from the pharmacy and the lab, not from the practice.

The space

The office after dark

Lamps, not overhead lights, and a door that closes. The waiting room is a chair and a window, because visits start on time.

Questions

Questions people ask before a first visit

Why are your hours so late?

Because many of the people we see work when other offices are open. Evenings, Saturday mornings and Sunday video visits are the whole schedule, not an extra. Cedric is licensed in Oklahoma, so video visits are for people who are in the state.

Can I come straight from a night shift?

Yes. Saturday visits start at 7 a.m. and weekday visits start at 3 p.m. Tell us your rotation when you write and we offer the nearest slot.

Will you prescribe at the first visit?

Sometimes, after an evaluation, and never a controlled medicine at the first visit. Our prescribing policy is on its own page.

How much does it cost?

Your fee depends on the length and kind of visit, not the hour. You are given it in writing before you start. How fees work explains the rest.

Do you take my insurance?

No. We are out of network with insurance plans, and we can give you a receipt to send to your plan.

What if my shift changes after I book?

Call or write as soon as you know and give us 24 hours where you can. We move the visit to the nearest slot.
