Questions
Questions before a first visit
Do you take my insurance?
No. We are out of network with insurance plans and do not bill Medicare or SoonerCare. You pay yourself and can have a receipt to send to your plan.
Can I send a receipt to my plan?
A superbill is an itemized receipt you can send to your plan, with the date, the kind of visit and a diagnosis code. Your plan decides whether it reimburses any of the cost, and some plans do not. Your insurer can see the code.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written estimate of your costs before you start. If a bill comes to $400 or more above it, you can dispute the bill. The estimate is not a contract.
How much does it cost, and how do fees work?
The fee depends on the length and kind of visit, not the hour. It is given in writing before you start. How fees work has the rest.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. You pay by card at the end of each visit, and HSA and FSA cards work.
What happens at the first visit?
A 60-minute evaluation: your history, what you take now, your shifts and sleep, and what you want to change. You leave with one next step in writing.
How often and how long are visits?
A first visit is 60 minutes and follow-ups are about 20. Cedric tells you at each visit when he would like to see you next.
Are you licensed where I live?
Cedric is licensed in Oklahoma. Office visits are in Tulsa, and video visits are for people who are in Oklahoma when we talk.
What do I do in a crisis?
Call or text 988 at any time. In an emergency, call 911. We are not a crisis service, and this site is not monitored around the clock.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
We keep your records private and share them only as the law allows. We explain the limits in writing before you start.
Do you prescribe controlled medicine by video?
No. We do not prescribe controlled medicines at a first visit or by video. Our prescribing policy is on its own page.
Will I need labs, and how soon can I be seen?
Sometimes Cedric asks for labs from your primary care clinician. A first slot is offered from the open evening and Saturday times when you write.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel a visit. Your estimate says what a late cancellation costs.
